Terms of use

Last updated September 30, 2026

These terms are the agreement between PeopleBeam Technology Ltd (“Beam”, “we”, “us”) and the organization that uses Beam (“you”). By starting a trial, subscribing or using Beam, you agree to them. If you accept them for an organization, you confirm you’re allowed to.

The short version

Beam is for businesses and other organizations, not personal use.
Try it free for 14 days. Then it’s $8 per person billed monthly, or $6 per person a month billed yearly.
Cancel any time. Yearly plans cancelled within 30 days of the first yearly payment get a full refund.
Your content stays yours. You can export it, and we delete it after you leave.

1. About these terms

These terms cover the Beam website, the Beam app and any support we provide. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

Beam is for use by businesses and other organizations. It isn’t offered to consumers.

2. Accounts and admins

The person who creates your workspace becomes its first admin. Admins invite people, choose settings and manage billing, and they can add or remove other admins.

You’re responsible for everything that happens in your workspace, for keeping sign-in details secure, and for making sure the details you give us are accurate. Tell us straight away at hi@peoplebeam.co if you think someone has accessed your workspace without permission.

Everyone who uses Beam must be at least 18.

3. Free trial

New workspaces get a 14-day free trial with every feature. You don’t need a credit card to start. To keep using Beam after the trial, choose a plan and add a payment method.

4. Plans, prices and billing

  • Prices. $8 per person a month on the monthly plan, or $6 per person a month on the yearly plan, billed as $72 per person a year. Prices are in US dollars and don’t include taxes such as VAT or sales tax, which we add where the law requires.
  • Who counts. You pay for each active person in your workspace. There’s no minimum number of people.
  • When you pay. We charge in advance at the start of each billing period, and your plan renews automatically until you cancel.
  • Adding people. When you add people partway through a billing period, we charge a prorated amount for the rest of that period.
  • Removing people. When you remove people, your bill goes down from the next billing period.
  • Price changes. We’ll give admins at least 30 days’ notice. New prices apply from your next renewal after that.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we’ll email your billing contact. If it isn’t sorted within 14 days, we may pause your workspace until it is.

5. Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel any time from your workspace billing settings, or by emailing hi@peoplebeam.co.
  • Your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and we won’t charge you again.
  • Monthly plans: we don’t refund part of a month.
  • Yearly plans: if you cancel within 30 days of your first yearly payment, we’ll refund it in full. After that, we don’t refund the rest of the year.

Nothing in these terms takes away any right to a refund that the law gives you.

6. Your content

Everything your people put into Beam, such as check-in answers, goals, feedback and comments, belongs to you. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display it only as needed to provide and support Beam for you.

You can export reports while your subscription is active. After your trial or subscription ends, we keep your workspace for 30 days so you can come back or ask us for a copy of your data. After that we delete it, as our privacy policy describes.

We may use usage statistics that don’t identify you, your organization or your people to understand and improve Beam.

7. Using Beam with your people

You decide who you invite and what they’re asked to share, so you’re responsible for having a lawful basis to use Beam with them and for telling them how their data will be used. When we handle personal data in your workspace, we do it on your behalf and follow your instructions, as our privacy policy explains. If you need a data processing agreement, email hi@peoplebeam.co.

8. Acceptable use

Please don’t use Beam to:

  • break the law or anyone’s rights, or harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone
  • upload content that’s unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit or malicious, including viruses
  • try to get into accounts, data or systems you don’t have permission to use
  • copy, reverse engineer or resell Beam, or use it to build a competing product
  • overload Beam or scrape it with automated tools

If you break these rules, we may remove content or suspend accounts, as explained under “Suspension and ending the agreement.”

9. Our intellectual property

Beam, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. While you have an active trial or subscription, we give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Beam for your organization’s internal business.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. Other apps

Beam can connect to some apps from other companies. If you connect one, that company’s terms apply to your use of it, and you let us exchange data with it as the connection needs. We aren’t responsible for other companies’ apps.

11. The service

We work to keep Beam available, secure and working well, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We’ll try to schedule maintenance for quiet times.

We keep improving Beam, so features may change. If we remove a feature that’s central to how you use Beam, we’ll tell admins in advance.

12. Our liability

Beam is provided “as is.” Apart from what these terms say, we don’t make any other promises about it, to the extent the law allows.

Neither of us is liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.

13. Claims about your content

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or because you broke these terms, you’ll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees.

14. Suspension and ending the agreement

You can end this agreement at any time by cancelling your plan.

We may suspend or close a workspace if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don’t pay, or put Beam or other customers at risk. Where we can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

We may also end the agreement for any other reason with 60 days’ notice. If we do, we’ll refund what you’ve paid for time after the end date.

When the agreement ends, you lose access to Beam, and we handle your content as described under “Your content.”

15. Using your name

We may list your organization’s name and logo as a customer on our website and in sales materials. If you’d rather we didn’t, email hi@peoplebeam.co and we’ll remove it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes, we’ll email admins or tell them in Beam at least 30 days before the changes take effect. If you keep using Beam after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they take effect.
